I've been before the JW tribunal twice for speaking against the Organization and I was asked repeatedly if I was secretly recording this informatiom. They seemed to be very paranoid about if I was taping the meetings.

Dateline - reactions the morning after.

what happens the morning after dateline?

how will most jws react?

these are my thoughts on the matter, which, of course, are open to debate:.

While it is hoped that many JW's will see the wrongness of the WT in handleing Peds and eventually investigat further that is not the main importance of the Dateline expose.

As already mentioned the public will watch it and so when the JW comes to their doors with the Good News they will feel the effects.

They(JWs) will be forced to talk about the Borgs policies of DF'n and lack of protection for the victims of child molestation at the doors.

Many of the public will not just veiw the JW as a harmless religion any more, but one that must be avoided,.. because they are "wackos".
It may also change some Judges veiw of the Witnesses and cause more thought to go into their decisions concerning things like divorce and child custody of non JW parents.
Maybe even more favorable decision for law suits brought against the Borg by injured parties in furture cases.

This bad publicity is really going to have more effect than we will see immediately after the the airing of Dateline.

Hopefully many of us who have family and freinds who are shunning us now will soften and not be so strict in implimenting the WT shunning policies as time goes on as the see the Big WT are not what they claim to be.

I have some very positive expectations about the long tern out come.

Get an egg and poke a little hole in it(with a needle) about 2 weeks before the assembly and bring it with you and throw it against some thing to break it when no one is looking (stink).

Glad to see the Press Releases

just got back from a short nyc vacation [nope, didn't go to the headquarters --- didn't want to have to go by ground zero and get depressed only to be further depressed by the site of the wtbts].. anyhow, how wonderful to see press getting on the band wagon [and major, heavy hitters like the san francisco chronicle/examiner] about the jws dirty secret regarding child molesters.

they actually make the catholic church look clean.. out of curiosity, i had to see the dubz official site.

natch, they had prominently displayed a series of articles against child molestation.

Yes I think the WT's heydays are over and hopefyully they will be TOAST in the near future.
They can't play the part of a hypocrite and not get whats comming to them.

jehovah witness pastors has a sheep in their care arrested.. hi my name is david wiltshire and i have suffered horribly from the hand of my pastors.

because i know longer believe the jehovahs witnesses are the only true religion i was disfellowshipped from all jehovahs witnesses i cant even come over their houses any more, they refuse to return my greetings.. the worst torture that they have put on me is that my little grand daughter, who i used to give horsy back rides to cant even be allowed so visit with me for fear both she and her parents could be disfellowshipped.

the watchpower teaches that you cant fellowship with disfellowshipped persons, so they are good jehovah witnesses and obey the watchpower.. some say the jehovah witness religion is a mind control cult.

I'm not really concerned about winning I just want to expose the hypocrisy of the mind control cult and make known to as many as I reasonably can how full of hate the WT is towards those that at one time slaved for them but now no longer beleive they have the truth.

I hope to bring out at my trial the evilness of shunning and how they don't respect our individual right to freedom of religion (or from religion :)) by "enforced shunning" that even family member must follow or be shunned themselves.

Nat,

Yeah but the Judge didn't like it when I pleaded not guilty and waived my right to a speedy trial and requested a trial by jury.

He ordered a pretrial hearing and I requested not to have it and that I want skip that and get right into a trial by jury he got a little mad at my request and sid something to the effect that he didn't want to go that route.

ANyway I have the new date for the hearing on 5/23/02.
I also got the police report in which 4 elders all greatly exadurated about how i was disturbing the meeting.

jw elders are in for a rough ride, if the pandelo case is any indication.. its about time.

Those that are not JWs I was able to talk with and they were soo forgiving towards me, we cried together(one family).

Others I don't know how to get in touch with but will some day I'm sure.
Danny do it if you can it's the right thing to do and you will feel so much better for it, it's not easy but well worth the effort for you and them especially if they have left the Borg.
